The story
Project Overview
Location: Carlsbad, California
Date of Service: May 2026
Service Type: Deep Commercial Cleaning
Duration: Between 8 and 10 hours, plus a follow-up visit.

The Challenge
In May 2026, our team at Commercial Property Maids performed a deep cleaning of a barbershop located in Carlsbad, California. Upon starting the service, we found an extraordinary accumulation of hair, dust, and dirt, suggesting the establishment had not received a deep cleaning in a long time. One of the most surprising situations was discovering that beneath the floor mats, a “second carpet” made entirely of accumulated hair had practically formed. We also identified considerable dirt in the bathrooms, drawers, floors, and various surfaces of the establishment.
The Cleaning Process
Due to the conditions of the location, our team spent approximately 8 to 10 hours performing a deep clean. The amount of accumulated hair was so excessive that two vacuums malfunctioned during the job, likely due to clogging and equipment overload. Despite the time invested, it was necessary to return a week later to perform touch-ups and address areas that required additional work.
Results and Recommendations
This project demonstrates the importance of preventive maintenance in barbershops and beauty salons. At Commercial Property Maids, we recommend performing a deep cleaning at least once a month and a regular cleaning at least once a week, adjusting the frequency based on customer volume and the amount of hair generated daily. Accumulated hair not only affects the establishment’s image and hygiene but can also clog equipment and, if it gets into electrical components, contribute to malfunctions or overheating issues. Keeping floors, bathrooms, workstations, and hard-to-reach areas in good condition helps protect the facilities, prolong the lifespan of equipment, and offer a more pleasant and professional experience for clients.
Our Conclusion
A clean barbershop not only reflects professionalism; it also demonstrates respect for clients, employees, and the business.
